HEART ATTACK

WHAT TO DO?
Friends if your age is more than 45 years and you have diabetes and high blood pressure with a family history of heart diseases then read the following. If you suffer from a central chest pain lasting for more than five minutes, associated with sweating or weakness or palpitation or breathlessness, jaw pain or pain in neck or fingers then you most lie down quietly. Call an ambulance. Do not panicky.Donot clime staircase or walk down a stair case. You have a serious problem. If possible take a tablet of dispirin (325mg) in half a cup of water.
50% heart attack patients die before they reach a hospital. Ten 10% die on the road in ambulance. Another 5 to 10% die in casualty. Hardly 25% survive a massive heart attack if admitted in time to ICU. First 24 hours of a heart attack are the most critical. With the use of modern day interventions, the death rate from a heart attack has been brought down to around 5% in patients who are hospitalized with a heart attack. Remember modern interventions kill more patients then it saves it.  It's important for people with coronary artery disease to understand, that angioplasty with stenting in stable patients does not prevent future heart attacks. ... Stents usually are used to open such large plaques when they cause symptoms by limiting blood flow. Remember it’s the life style change-diet—morning walk and mental change after being discharged from hospital which prolongs life, not the surgery or the stents.
For more information ask your cardiologist. Please do behave like a cardiologist because you had a heart attack or you have a Google in hand!
