SHOLAY:
No doubt 1975 Hindi film Sholay, not
only made Amjad Khan and other film stars famous but also it made many mimicry
experts rich. This film was inspired by another Western Movie ‘Once upon a time
in the West’. If you analyze little deep in to Sholay film success, it seems
excepting ‘three reels’ rest ‘fifteen reels’ were comedy scenes intermingled
with one another .Be it marriage proposal of Viru, or Pistol training or Jail
escape or sale of woods or suicide attempt of Viru, everyone was a comedy
scene. They were all comedians in the film except Sanjib Kumar,Jaya Bhaduri and Amjad Khan.
All said and done Sholay picture made few cinema hall owners rich, produced few
ruthless dacoits and few mimicry experts’ in India.
