THIS IS LIFE

A Little more sleep?: Today the 6^th of January-2015,is a fine cool morning here at Patia, Bhubaneswar with clear sky but due to some reason or other the birds have not turned up to sing their latest songs near my window, sitting on the branches of our Mango and Krushnachuda (କୃଷ୍ନଚୁଡା) trees, maybe I got up too early! The apartment near to our house is ready for possession but due to 'pusa masa’ (inauspicious time) not a single person has occupied any of the 18 apartment houses. You know as per the BDA there are 31 thousand unoccupied houses at Bhubaneswar? Some have two to three houses at the temple city built with black money or parental property as if more houses means longer life??People spend six decades of their life staying in cramped up rooms of rented house or company or government quarters and stay in their house (2^nd hand) house for rest part of their life. Some stay long, others are not those fortunate. A son would come from abroad and dispose of that house called ‘headache’. This is called “modern life”, no sentiments, no tears, no nostalgic feelings.(Sanjoy Ubacha)
