END OF AN ERA

Obituary –Dr:TKBose:

My heart broke when I heard the news of doctor Tadit Kumar Bose passing away while on duty. There were so many thoughts and memories that raced through my head. Just like many of you, I thought about the last time I met him at CWS hospital doing a stress ECG on a patient .With his typical smile he said “Sanjoy you know doctors, send me patients to give fitness who are likely to undergo cataract operation? How commercial we have become? If I do not do it he would go to another doctor and get it done! Just see a trademill test for a cataract surgery?”Doctor Bose was a workaholic.

 I immediately had memories of my long association with him during my job at Ispat General Hospital.  I recalled a few special moments from long ago in the library hall of IGH.But, one thing that I did not think about . . . was how many birthdays Dr.TKBose  had been able to celebrate.
