EMPTY VESSEL
EMPTY VESSEL SOUNDS MUCH:
From morning till you go to bed media hammers you with information of their choice, it maybe SOME SORT OF Advertisement or COMMENT ON Indian film, soap opera, big B fever, or sachin’s villa Or Rahul Gandhi’s train journey or Sania Mirza’s under garments.
You are told some thing which you believe but actual nothing such event has happened, it is like a match or spot fixing.
They decide the top best actors, actress, player, films, rich person, best dressed person etc which are irreverent to AAM ADMI.For example they select their world cup team, best one day team or best politician. Try this “do not keep/read any news paper for a month and find out if it has done any good or bad to your life or family life. Nothing: You will not miss a thing. You just go to your office or retired friends and you will get all the update or breaking news from your colleagues/friends in the first half an hour of morning office in case you are still in job with a false birth certificate.
Earlier day’s news paper did not carry any vulgar photos of actress or models as it is today. For gossips there was Blitz, for more comprehensive news there was illustrated weekly, for IAS material there was Statesmen, for vulgarity or provocative pictures you had a clipped Debonair, for film news and gossips you had film fare, picture post. For sports one had the sports and past time or sport star.
Now you can get every thing in the daily news paper, thanks to sponsorship, political patronage, and advertisements. They decide the criminals, type of punishments, also decide who is innocent and who is a terrorist or a saint. Elephants/tigers/bear or python are made villain of the piece. People dying / or committing suicides in Orissa (my word star puts an under line in red in case I writeOdisha) are farmers because it’s not a congress ruled state.
Any thing the BJP party does is bad that’s what the press always tries to project as they know next election is a distant possibility.
The media has already decided about the next World cup winner as if they have put all their money with the team in blue.
To summarize: It’s like this. In a Rajasthan village, some people were interested to know the intensity of an elephant gas expulsion sound. The manhunt asked those who were interested to hear that- to pay rupees five per head, in that way he collected some two hundred fifty rupees. They waited and waited but nothing happened, the elephant started to walk away. People wanted to get back their money but the manhunt told he has already passed the gas, so no question of returning the money. Similarly are the Indian public(me included) and the Media.

ROAD ACCIDENTS
One may like it or not i do not know but as a doctor working in the capital city of Odisha(Bhubaneswar)is of the opinion is that -most of the hospitals here are thriving due to automobiles so also the rich doctors. The high way number 5 passes through the busy city (lack of foresight of ex CM) which kills and injured/morbidity) more number of people than heart attack and cancer patients put together. There is a ten fold rise of 4 wheelers and 20 fold rise of two wheelers on road, thanks to the lenient bank loan policies. Most of the victims are young people. We(Business house/Politicians) are happy that the automobile industry is booming so also the death rate .The doctors and hospitals are having their beds/purse full due to the two and ten wheelers on road. For your information now a days you seldom find a truck with six wheels most of them have ten or sixteen wheels at the least.
Please do not worry about HIV(AIDS), or Hepatitis B, or super bug its the RTA (road traffic accident)which will kill 10% of the young people in next ten years unless we take some drastic steps to reduce or stop it.
DIABETIC DAY
On diabetic day a three day cricket match was organized between 65+year old diabetes VS high blood pressure patients.
Diabetic team won the toss and elected to bat. The bowlers of high blood pressure team (BP) took longer time as most of the moments they lost their temper due to wrong umpire decisions. One of the umpires was a patient of liver disease due to alcohol, he had kept one Pepsi bottle with rum in his pocket the other one was a patient of mental illness with cataract.
The batsman (diabetic team) had to leave the crease very frequently during which time the umpire called for drinks break (beer). That way in the whole pre -lunch period only 12 over could be bowled but the batting side lost six wickets as sighting the ball was difficult with a diabetic eye.
There was a scramble for lunch where the diabetics went on eating and the blood pressure team players took liberty with salt and mutton curry. That way the match progressed; by tea time the diabetic team was all out for76 (4 batsmen retired heart due to hypoglycemia).
From hypertension team, two players could not come for fielding due to head reeling and vomiting.
The first day ended with score of 56 for eight as the high blood pressure team lost their cool and got run out frequently.
The alcoholic umpire gave 7LBW decisions against the high BP team.
The match ended by lunch time on 2nd day as six of diabetic and five hypertensive players were admitted to a near by hospital.
The organizers were busy in accompanying the patients (players) to the hospital.
The spectators were the relatives of the players who had brought with them insulin, glucose for their relatives. The diabetic team won the match by 2 runs.
Till the last report -three from diabetic team and six from BP team are still in hospital.
Mr.Saitan Swami who could stay on the ground for maximum number of hours as he had made one innovative idea through his doctor brother of wearing a condom and getting it connected through a small tube which was hidden in side the pant, through which he was passing the urine with out going to toilet was declared as the man of the match.
The Governor of AP who has both diabetes and high blood pressure was the chief guest.
The match was sponsored by KGDUS rossogola and Tata salt, each diabetic player was given an insulin syringe and a rossogola tin, blood pressure players were given one BP machine and a kg of Tata salt. The man of the match got a glucose meter.
There will be return match on High BP day next month.

ZEBRA CROSSING
ZEBRA CROSSING:
With her waddling gait and engorged breasts
Waiting for the vehicles to stop
As the little ones wait for her on the other side of road
The howling sounds of the pups
The busy traffic and a motherly love
As she stops for a huge truck to roll
One wrong step and six lives are gone
She looks at the traffic light
People start crossing the zebra line
She can’t wait any more in the deafening sound of the traffic
Suddenly a screeching noise
She looks at a girl and cross the zebra line
Her eyes glitter with a sense of gratitude
As she is greeted by her little ones
Another day another night under the sky..

DIAPER CULTURE
If you happen to watch TV commercials then you must have noticed three things 1:Sanitary napkins 2:Diapers 3:Pregnancy prevention tablets. The height of it is-Some one is wishing you "HAPPY PERIODS", so days are not far off when some one will wish you "HAPPY SITTING" Happy Phishing-Happy Sex etc.Read this article and judge what you are doing to the mother earth.A real mother should not do this except in some unavoidable circumstances.
There has been much debate over the impact of disposable diapers and cloth diapers on the environment. The pro-disposable diaper advocates say that the extra water used to wash cloth diapers is just as much of an abuse to the environment as the production and disposal of disposable diapers. But taking into consideration the following estimates you will probably agree that disposable diapers are much more harmful to the environment than cloth diapers.
It is estimated that roughly 5 million tons of untreated waste and a total of 2 billion tons of urine, feces, plastic and paper are added to landfills annually. It takes around 80,000 pounds of plastic and over 200,000 trees a year to manufacture the disposable diapers for American babies alone. Although some disposables are said to be biodegradable; in order for these diapers to decompose, they must be exposed to air (oxygen) and sun. Since this is highly unlikely, it can take several hundred years for the decomposition of disposables to take place, with some of the plastic material never decomposing.
The untreated waste placed in landfills by dirty disposable diapers is also a possible danger to contaminating ground water. Pro-disposable advocates say that cleaning cloth diapers uses more energy and contributes to the load on sanitary sewer systems and potential water pollution. This view really makes no sense if you think about it. The amount of water used per week to wash cloth diapers at home is about the same amount consumed by an adult flushing the toilet four or five times daily for a week. Also, the greater amount of water and energy being used by diaper service companies to wash large amounts of cloth diapers multiple times; the per diaper impact on energy and water supplies is actually less than home washing.
Finally, when flushing solids from a cloth diaper down the toilet and washing the diapers in a washing machine, the contaminated, dirty water from both toilet and washing machine go into the sewer systems where they are properly treated at wastewater plants. This treated wastewater is much more environmentally friendly than dumping untreated soiled disposable diapers into a landfill.
Convenience:
With the newer style of cloth diapers that are on the market, disposable diapers are not much more convenient that cloth diapers. The new multiple layer, Velcro fastening cloth diapers are just as easy to put on and take off as disposables. Cloth diapers do not really need to be presoaked, or even rinsed out. Flushable liners can be used with cloth diapers that let you lift the soiled liner off the cloth and flush the liner and the poop down the toilet. If you don’t use liners, you can just dump the older baby’s solids down the toilet. Cloth diapers usually only add about 2 extra loads of laundry a week to your schedule.
Disposable diapers are more convenient when traveling because you can just throw the dirty diapers away without carrying them around for washing. Disposables also require fewer changes because of the super absorbent materials; but taking into consideration the increased risks of rash and the extra impact on the environment, your decision should be made with much thought.
Summary:
The choice between the different types of diapers available is a matter of personal preference while taking into consideration all of the topics discussed above. There really is no one best type of diaper that is good for every baby. Deciding to use cloth or disposable diapers depends on your lifestyle, personal preference, finances and your concern for the environment. Some parents combine the two, using cloth at home and disposable when they are going to be out all day. The choice that is right for you and your baby may be different from the one that's right for your friend and her baby. The best thing to do is know the advantages and disadvantages between cloth and disposable diapers, talk with your doctor, discuss it with your wife or husband and make a decision on what you think is best for your baby. Whichever diaper you decide on now, you may find that your baby develops diaper rash more frequently later or has some type of allergic reaction. This could be sensitivity to your choice. If this occurs, don't fight it, just switch. Try a different type of diaper, a different brand or go from cloth to paper or vice verse. If your baby ever shows signs of having a reaction to a diaper you should always notify your doctor. The reaction you might be seeing could just be a small rash, but it could be a more severe allergic reaction. Your doctor can tell you exactly what it is and what you should do.
Sanjoy adds: please use old dhoti or old cotton sari as diapers/sanitary napkins of course cleaned and dried. The best thing about this is- it can be used many times and cost effective.

A CORRUPT COUNTRY
Do you agree India is one of the most corrupt country in the world?
Do you know some of the Indian politicians are the most unpatriotic country man?
Do you know 30%of Indian defecate in open field?
See this photo and decide-is it true democracy?
Only 30% of states are ruled by congress, still then due to so called (democratic?)dynasty rule Sonia Gandhi is ruling the country.
The media, the western world,NRIs,and some vested interested persons and business house are always full of praise for India. It's true that there are so many brighter sides of this country but scams and corruptions and people's attitude is and will ruin this country-that's for sure.I have some drastic remarks to make about NRIs(NOT RELIABLE INDIANS),if they love their country so much why they shout and criticize once they touch their Ex-mother land? How many of them have come back after our PM appealed for them to come back and be in the main stream??

This photograph summaries the state of misery of majority poor Indians. But for a couple of days one simply can't open a news paper be it in local language or in English.Yes you are right-- it's that bloody cricket players auction for IPL tournament which shares the lime light be it in TV or in any media. The country is shivering with cold wave, price rise of essential commodities,Maoist activities, corruptions, scam, non functioning/boycott of parliament and assembly members, crop damage but the media is busy with IPL as if the country's future depends on it.
I can say it's due to IPL money only -India has become no1 in cricket.
Some thing should be done about this auction business in cricket, to put it in public voice "it's simply nauseating."
