Alcoholism:
Def: Continued excessive or compulsive use
of alcoholic drinks.
But in our
society even drinking once in a year is labeled as a ‘ମଦତି’, মাতাল, and alcoholic? Following are the types of drinkers as
observed by the author.
1. Those people when drinks when available free
and wife is not around him!
2. They drink along with a friend who provides
him with free food and drinks.
3. They drink everyday and spoil their liver
and pancreas.
4. They have a desire to drink but fear of
wife makes them
behave like teetotaler.
5. No problem, both wife and husband drink
together at
Home or Club. (Living together or
working
Couple, recent phenomenon)
6. Retired drinkers: Now they are vegetarian
and teetotaler
after stents and bypass surgery or
cancer?
